We are David Dunning and Libbi Lepow. So why dleepow? It is a curious amalgam of <dlee> (David's login on the Well), and Libbi's surname (Libbi is <paris> on the Well).

And why dlee? Back in ancient times, circa 1988, when I (David) chose my login for the Well, all the more opportune permutations of my name were already taken, or so it seemed, and "dlee", being my first initial and a respelling of the last half of my middle name, was the first thing I came up with that the Well of the time would accept. Turns out that the Well code at the time only parsed the first four characters when determining if the login already existed or not, which is why something more obvious like "DavidD" or "Dunning" were refused. Back in those primevil times, online naming conventions didn't really exist; unlike now when it's reasonable to assume that one's email address or username is first-initial-plus-surname, first-name-plus-surname-initial, etc. I did not anticipate how things would develop, but as a result there are more than a few Wellfolk who think my name is David Lee, and are sometimes surprised to find that I'm not Chinese.

I (<dlee>) used to be quite active on the Well, but I tapered off pretty drastically some years ago, and my Well participation these days is almost entirely offline.
